What changed on this page. The earlier version was written as if by the casino and claimed that VR gambling “is already real” at Honey Money, rated an invented “Honey Money VR Lounge” at “11/10” in a table of VR platforms and answered “Absolutely” to the question whether you can win real money in VR casinos. We could find no VR games at Honey Money, so these claims have been removed; this page explains what VR casinos are and what you can check yourself.
Social VR games and real-money casinos are different products
The words “VR casino” are used for two different things. One is a social VR game: a headset app where you sit at a poker or casino table with other people’s avatars, talk to them and play with virtual chips. PokerStars VR, for example, launched in 2018 as a free-to-play game with play chips that cannot be cashed out. The other is a real-money online casino that shows its games in a 3D lobby or lets you watch a live dealer. Only the second is gambling in the legal sense, and only the second needs a gambling licence.

Buying chips in a social game is still spending money even though you can never win it back; set a spending limit in your store or headset account if the app sells chips.
A headset does not change the RNG or the RTP
A virtual room is a new skin over the same maths. Each result is decided by a random number generator or, in a live stream, by a physical wheel or deck, and the house edge comes from the rules of the game. When we checked honeymoney.com on 22 September 2026, we saw no VR games and no VR lobby: the site has an ordinary 2D lobby of slots and live games from providers including Pragmatic Play, Nolimit City, Endorphina, Belatra, BGaming, Hacksaw, 3 Oaks Gaming, Yggdrasil and Nobles. The operator named in the terms is 3-102-937046 SRL (Costa Rica) with Anjouan licence ALSI-202509033-FI1, which the Anjouan validator showed as valid for honeymoney.com on that date. The brand itself belongs to SilverDeer B.V., whose Curaçao licence OGL/2024/661/0277 expired on 4 June 2026 according to the Curaçao Gaming Authority register — a good reminder to look up the licence in the regulator’s own register rather than trusting a logo.

A practical takeaway. Decide how long you will play and how much you can afford to lose before you put on a headset or open any casino lobby, set those limits in your account and never gamble on credit.
